New Management scheme of the Lithuanian Labour Exchange

Since 1 October 2010, after restructuring of the Lithuanian Labour exchange, the new working model of the regional labour exchanges was introduced. The previous management scheme that consisted of 46 local offices has been replaced by a more customer-oriented scheme of 10 local labour exchanges.

Structural units – branch offices – of the local labour exchanges will further operate in almost all the municipalities of the country. Consultants of the branches will provide services for our customers, while the local labour exchanges will manage the administrative affairs.

It is expected that the new management model will facilitate a flexible and effective planning and implementation of the active labour market policy measures, taking into account the needs of employers in the region and in response to the situation in the labour market.
